\"\"Our LULAC <\/span>Council No. 2862 of Sacramento, California, was formed in 1983 in honor of the late Judge Lorenzo Pati\u00f1o and is sometimes referred to as the Lorenzo Pati\u00f1o LULAC Council. He was held in high esteem in the community and The Lorenzo Pati\u00f1o Hall of Justice<\/em><\/span>, housing the Superior Court of California – Sacramento County, was named in his honor.\u00a0
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Since Sacramento is the Capital of California, our membership includes governmental professionals, private sector business men and women, educators, retirees and students. In essence a cross section of the community.<\/span><\/span><\/p>

We have been involved in many efforts to provide assistance and raise awareness on issues affecting our community. These issues involve education, labor, health and employment.\u00a0 Also, o<\/span>ur <\/span>Council has been promoting higher education through our scholarship program, working for local charities and promoting the defense of civil liberties in our region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
